Job Overview:
We’ve built a loyal direct-to-consumer following and are now expanding our wholesale business to bring Ripton to specialty outdoor retailers and boutiques across the country.
We are looking for a driven and entrepreneurial Wholesale Account Executive to lead the growth of Ripton’s wholesale presence, starting in our core market (CA, UT, CO). In this role, you will work to establish new retail partnerships, nurture existing accounts, and drive wholesale revenue. As the first dedicated sales hire, you’ll be instrumental in shaping our wholesale strategy and laying the foundation for future omni-channel growth.

What you’ll be working on:

Sales Growth: Identify and acquire new retail partners in specialty outdoor, cycling, and skiing shops.

Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with current retail partners to maximize sales and ensure satisfaction.

Regional Expertise: Travel throughout California, Utah, and Colorado to meet with retailers, attend trade shows, and develop a deep understanding of the market.

Reporting & Strategy: Track sales metrics, provide regular updates to leadership, and contribute insights to optimize our wholesale approach.

Collaboration: Work closely with the product and marketing teams to align wholesale efforts with brand goals.

Salary commensurate with the value you bring to Ripton (“eat what you kill”): we envision offering a competitive base salary for the first six months to support onboarding and ramp-up, transitioning to 100% commission at 10% of sales, offering significant earning potential for high performers.

Qualifications:

5+ years relevant professional experience

Ability to travel as needed within the assigned territory

Creative thinker with a track record of taking innovative approaches to problems

Strong organizational and project management skills, as well as initiative and ability to work independently; you’ll be a team of 1 to start, and need to be able to expertly manage your own time and tasks)

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Wholesale account experience strongly preferred

Familiarity with the ecommerce industry, ideally within performance apparel, outdoor gear, or related industries is a plus

Experience at early-stage companies is a plus

Enthusiasm for Ripton’s mission and a personal connection to the outdoor or active lifestyle
