The Role

The Warehouse Assistant Manager is responsible for the day-to-day execution of Ripton’s warehouse and fulfillment operations. Working closely with the Warehouse Manager, this role helps lead the warehouse team and the daily execution of order fulfillment, receiving, and wholesale compliance.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is highly organized, dependable, and thrives on process. The Assistant Manager will be an important point person on the warehouse floor, helping prioritize daily work, troubleshoot issues, and maintain a high standard of accuracy and execution across DTC and wholesale orders.

Responsibilities

      Oversee daily warehouse and fulfillment operations, including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and inventory movement

      Lead and support the warehouse pick/pack team throughout daily operations

      Monitor fulfillment accuracy and address miss-picks, shipping errors, and other operational issues

      Own wholesale order fulfillment and routing compliance

      Help track daily fulfillment performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy

      Troubleshoot day-to-day warehouse issues and escalate larger operational challenges to the Warehouse Manager

      Partner with the broader Ripton team to prepare for product launches, promotions, and peak sales periods

      Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment

      Support continuous improvement of warehouse processes and systems as Ripton grows 

Experience & Skills

      2–4+ years of warehouse, fulfillment, or inventory operations experience

      Strong attention to detail and a high standard for order and inventory accuracy

      Highly organized with strong time-management and prioritization skills

      Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment

      Experience with DTC and/or wholesale fulfillment

      Understanding of wholesale packing, labeling, routing, and compliance requirements

      Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions on the warehouse floor

      Comfortable using inventory management and fulfillment systems; Finale Inventory and Shipstation experience is a plus

      Apparel, outdoor, or DTC experience is a plus

      Able to lift and move 50lbs, and comfortable with ladder work, hand trucks, and pallet jacks    

What Success Looks Like

      DTC and wholesale orders are fulfilled accurately and on time

      The warehouse team is organized, productive, and clear on daily priorities

      Wholesale orders consistently meet customer-specific requirements and ship windows

      Inventory is received, stored, and tracked accurately

      Warehouse issues are identified and resolved quickly

      The warehouse remains clean, organized, and efficient

      The Warehouse Manager can rely on the Assistant Manager to confidently run daily floor operations, including opening and closing    

      Processes continue to improve as Ripton grows, so your input and expertise matter
