Location: Boulder, CO
Type: W2 non-exempt, FT starting 30 hours/week
Compensation: $23/hr + benefits package
Reports to: Ripton Boulder Shop Manager
The Role
You'll be a key part of the team supporting the Boulder Flagship location's growth and execution in areas of customer experience, product knowledge, and retail operations.
Beyond the day-to-day support flow, you'll help bring Ripton retail to the people through community activations, off-site sales opportunities and marketing events, and provide cross-functional support to the broader customer service team.
This role is ideal for an experienced, highly motivated customer and product-obsessed person who is ready for more responsibility, thrives in an evolving environment, and wants to grow their store leadership as Ripton's retail footprint expands.
Core Responsibilities
- Deliver a welcoming and informed in-store experience, leading by example in sales, product knowledge and customer engagement
- Execute daily operations such as opening and closing, maintaining visual merchandising standards, shop cleanliness and carrying out delegated tasks from the Shop Manager
- Support the Shop Manager in maintaining healthy inventory levels, conducting receiving tasks and resolving inventory discrepancies in a timely manner
- Act as shop leadership when the Shop Manager is unavailable, providing direction to associates and ensuring a consistent customer and team experience
- Support associates with product and customer questions, using sound judgement to help resolve situations that fall outside of established guidelines
- Provide ad-hoc support to the customer service team, responding to e-commerce channels and working with the warehouse on fulfillment issues
- Partner with the Shop Manager and Brand Experience Manager to execute product launches, promotions, and customer-facing activations

Occasionally participate in off-site sales opportunities such as expos, marketing events and pop-ups throughout the year
- Communicate customer feedback, product and sales observations, operational needs and opportunities to the Shop Manager
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years retail experience required, preferably outdoor apparel
- Weekend availability, and upcoming holiday season availability
- Works well in a tight-knit team; self-motivated and organized
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bright and flexible attitude towards changing business needs
- Enthusiasm for Ripton's brand and mission
- Shopify and e-commerce service experience is a plus
