As we evaluate the state of the Performance Denim economy, consider the findings of our vibe consultants, and look back on a year of jorts, jants, j’overalls and more, we are please to report that the state of the J’Union is strong. Here’s to 2025. On to the next one.

Beneath the Southern Cross, the storybook setting of Queenstown, New Zealand is no better place to escape winter weather. Jortbags worldwide make this annual migration in search of dry dirt and fresh trails. So we did too.

A gravel event that consistently sets the FKT for vibes and wins the overall grand prix points competition in the party pace division, Mid South Gravel is where we get in our early miles.

This season, our Gravity Group saw an influx of fresh faces who brought their unique style to our crew, on and off the bike. Increasingly, the progressive realm of freeride mountain biking is wearing denim, and for Ripton, that’s a good thing.

Remy Morton sculpted a track specifically to produce his Ripton edit. The result was one of our favorite films of 2025.

We started filming with Janelle in April in California, not knowing where it would lead. The project turned into a full edit that helped introduce this young ripper to the broader MTB world. In fact, it was part of the reason that she got an entry into Red Bull Rampage at the end of a season.

Coming one day after a hectic week at Crankworx, Whistler, we went out into the dark British Columbia forests with a few of our athletes and ended up with some of our favorite photos of the season.

The mainstream perspective often fixates on the extreme danger of Red Bull Rampage. We saw the creativity of the builders, the community of the riders, and the style that blossoms in the desert with dirty jorts, worn-in utility pants, and baggy looks that are a counterpoint to the old way of dressing to ride.
