Position: Customer Experience Specialist
Location: Ripton HQ – Boulder, CO
Type: Contract starting $20/hr
Time: Mon-Fri, 18-36 hrs/wk

As our Customer Experience Specialist, you'll be the face and voice of Ripton—helping our customers in-person and via email. You’ll guide new customers through our product line, assist with fit and sizing questions, process returns, determine warranties, and support the warehouse and fulfillment team during slow periods.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their workday, is customer and product obsessed, and wants to grow with a mission-driven startup.

 

Retail Shop Leadership

  • Operate the Ripton HQ retail space with warmth, stoke and product knowledge
  • Help new customers understand the Ripton brand, fit, and function
  • Process in-store purchases, returns and exchanges
  • Keep the shop well-merchandised to brand standards

Customer Emails

  • Respond to fit, size, and product questions via email
  • Manage address changes, order edits and other customer inquiries
  • Collaborate with the warehouse team on fulfillment questions
  • Report on common customer feedback, recurring issues, and improvement opportunities to product, fulfillment and e-commerce owners

Warehouse and Returns Support

  • Audit organizational systems and maintain warehouse stock for optimal order processing
  • Inspect returned products and accurately process and restock inventory
  • Assist in inventory counts and help resolve discrepancies
  • Prepare and organize product samples for sales and internal use

 

What We're Looking For

  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable style
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated
  • Comfortable in seamlessly juggling customer service, retail, and light warehouse duties 
  • Enthusiasm for Ripton’s brand and mission
  • Customer service background is required
  • Apparel-focused retail or warehouse experience is a plus
